QUEBEC - ALEXIS MINERALS of Toronto continues to drill excellent grades at depth at its Lac Herbin gold project in the Val d'Or mining camp. The latest assays report intersections of 35.42 g/t Au over 9.2 m from 80 m below any previous drilling in the area of discovery. The same hole included intersections of 7.7 m grading 41.93 g/t Au and 1.2 m at 231.0 g/t Au (all values are uncut).
A recent hole 60 m to the east also encountered a "strongly mineralized" quartz-tourmaline vein over 12.5 m of core, the company reported.
Alexis hopes to get the deposit into production this year and complete earning a 100% interest. The Lac Herbin portal is only 1.8 km from the 1,400-t/d Aurbel mill (formerly known as Belmoral mill) and tailings management area.
An informative presentation about the project is available at www.AlexisMinerals.com.
