The COBALT HISTORICAL SOCIETY welcomes a new executive including president Jack Church, VP Vivian Hylands and secretary-treasurer Reg Holdsworth. Directors Merv Lavigne, Peter Blakey, Laura Baxter, Gladys Wilcox, Doug McLeod, Dan Cleroux, Ron Beeson and Andre Belanger round out the board.

John Wakeford, P.Geo, has been named exploration manager by MIRAMAR MINING. His primary responsibility will be for the Hope Bay gold project in Nunavut. Wakeford has more than 25 years in worldwide exploration with extensive experience in Archean greenstone deposits, including the Hemlo and Timmins gold camps.

Saskatoon-based CLAUDE RESOURCES is making the following changes to its executive. Effective March 1, 2004, CEO & CFO Arnie Hillier will retire. His CEO duties will be taken up by Neil McMillan who will retain his position as president. Rich Johnson will be promoted to the duties of VP and CFO. Hillier will remain vice-chairman and a member of the executive committee of the board.

HARTE RESOURCES of Toronto has named Robert Isles to its board of directors.

Linear Resources of Vancouver is changing its name to LINEAR GOLD CORP., subject to regulatory acceptance. The following appointments have also been announced: Wade K. Dawe as chairman, president and CEO; Philip Pyle as VP exploration for Central America; and Peter Dimmel VP of exploration for Canada.

Vancouver-based CANABRAVA DIAMOND CORP. has named Susy H. Horna its corporate secretary. She is also secretary of Superior Diamonds and Lake Shore Gold.
