SEABRIDGE GOLD has hired HATCH ASSOCIATES LTD. to prepare a scoping study on the Courageous Lake gold project in the Northwest Territories. The deposit is estimated to contain 5.7 million ounces of gold.
The $500,000 study is to be completed next year. It will consider both underground and open pit mining options and recommend a preferred mining method. Optimum mine and mill capacities will also be chosen. Metallurgical tests will be conducted on a bulk sample. The final report will provide pre-feasibility estimates of capital and operating costs and Hatch's recommendation, if warranted, for the further steps required to complete a feasibility study.
