MINING PEOPLE: CIM, Monument Mining, TMAC, and Wallbridge

[caption id="attachment_1003721510" align="alignright" width="210"] Angela Hamlyn[/caption] Angela Hamlyn is the new executive director of Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy & Petroleum in Montreal. She has been with the CIM since 2007, first as editor-in-chief of the CIM Magazine and for the last seven months as interim executive director. Monument Mining of Vancouver has appointed former CFO Cathy Zhai as president and CEO. The position was formerly held by company founder and chairman Robert Baldock. TMAC Resources’ president and chief technology officer Gordon Morrison has retired from those duties and is now an executive advisor to the company. Dr. Attila Penteck is now VP exploration at Wallbridge Mining Co. of Toronto. He was most recently the company’s senior geologist. He was also project manager for the now-closed Broken Hammer copper-nickel-PGM open pit in Ontario.
