(Image: Resource Capital Gold)[/caption] NOVA SCOTIA – Resource Capital Gold of Vancouver has completed bulk sampling at its Dufferin gold mine, and the results are promising. The project includes a high grade underground mine and fully permitted 300 t/d gravity and flotation plant. A sample of approximately 43,600 tonnes with an average grade of 4.17 g/t gold was taken from the historic mine. Mill recovery was over 80% and 5,846 oz. of gold was recovered. Mining methods including re-sue, jackleg drifting and long hole stoping were tested. Where long hole drilling and blasting was tested, stope stability improved. Dilution in narrow open stopes was decreased to 5% from a previous high of 370%. Resource Capital said that detailed geological sampling demonstrated that grades are higher on the flanks of the saddle veins. Furthermore, gold appears to be concentrated near the footwalls of saddle and leg veins. The preliminary economic assessment of the Dufferin project was filed early in 2017. It estimated resources to be 151,500 indicated tonnes grading 11.9 g/t gold and containing 58,000 oz. The inferred resource is 703,900 tonnes at 6.6 g/t and containing 150,000 oz. of gold.
