BRITISH COLUMBIA – Banks Island Gold of Vancouver has arranged the purchase of two floating camp accommodation barges to serve crews working at the Yellow Giant gold project 120 km south of Prince Rupert. The company has also agreed to buy a 20-t/d partly refurbished dense media separation plant. The refurbishment will be done in Ontario where the plant is located before it is moved to Banks Island.

The company says that the Yellow Giant deposit consists of mesothermal veins, also known as sub-volcanic shear hosted. This type of geology is associated with the former Snip gold mine. An inferred resource estimate for the three zones at Yellow Giant is 115,000 tonnes at 23 g/t Au.

More details about the company’s Yellow Giant project and the Red Mountain project near Stewart, BC, are available at BanksIslandGold.com.
