NEVADA –
Barrick Gold has announced from Denver a new gold discovery about 2 km from the highest grade intercept at its Fourmile project near the Goldrush development project, part of the combined operations with
Newmont Goldcorp.
The new orebody was intersected by hole FM19-11KW14. Testing returned 10.7 metres of 24.8 g/t gold, 4.6 metres of 49.4 g/t, and 6.1 metres of 21.2 g/t. The new find increases the strike length of the Goldrush-Fourmile trend to more than 6 km. The mineralization is open in all directions. A step out hole program is underway.
Last week Barrick announced its acquisition of
Acacia Mining has been approved by the courts. Acadia shares will cease to be traded, and new Barrick shares will replace them.
