Together the three have donated $250,000 to the It Begins Here campaign, the largest fundraising effort ever undertaken by UNB. With the help of many, many donors, the campaign raised $125 million, surpassing its goal of $110 million. Jeff Hussey, president and CEO of Osisko Metals commented, “We are extremely happy to be part of this effort that will ensure that tomorrow’s students reap the same rewards from a UNB education that I have enjoyed as a UNB graduate.” The Osisko Field Education Fund will help reduce the cost of UNB’s stratigraphy and geological mapping field school courses. The courses will therefore become more accessible while supporting the university’s high standard of excellence in Earth Sciences.
