TORONTO CAMESE reminds all of its members that there is still time to join the Canada Pavilion at the Argentina Mining 2004 conference. It is scheduled for Aug. 18-20, 2004, in Mendoza. This is an opportunity for suppliers of mine and exploration equipment and services to reach potential new customers in one of the world's fastest growing mining markets.

The fifth Argentina Mining conference covers business, exploration, geology and mining in that country. There will be technical papers, an exhibition, a core shack, social events, mine visits and more. The event draws about 500 delegates, and CAMESE points out that high quality contacts are made by companies participating in the exhibition.

CAMESE organizes trade show delegations to conferences such as this as a means of keeping costs down for participating members. To express interest in joining forces visit www.camese.org/uploads/MMU_Argentina_c.pdf or write to Dolores Wharton at wharton@camese.org.

If Chile looks more interesting, plan to take part in the June 15 teleconference sponsored by CAMESE and the Export Development Bank. The one-hour call will begin at 1 p.m. EDT. Experts will discuss the current economic and political situation in Chile, opportunities for mining suppliers in Chile, how to do business in that country, and the bank's experience in the Chilean market. Lines will be limited and participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, so reply to minesupply@camese.org immediately with "CAMESE/EDC Teleconference" in the subject line.
